Join the trip.
We're four founders in Asker who want to turn more “we should go there” into real trips. Now we're looking for people who want to build it with us.
NomadMapper is moving from closed beta to Early Access. We need someone who gets people to discover us, try us and bring the people they travel with. You own our content and campaigns from idea to publishing, and measure everything against what matters: new travel groups actually planning a trip in the app.
What you'll work on
- Making short videos and campaigns that show what NomadMapper does, from the date vote to Noma making a new plan when it starts to rain.
- Building and running our channels on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts.
- Planning the Early Access launch and campaigns around Easter, the summer holidays and the autumn half-term, when people plan their trips.
- Following the whole journey from first view to first trip in PostHog, and using the numbers to choose what we do more of.
- Working with travel creators and partners on content that reaches new travellers.
What we're looking for
- You've made content or campaigns that delivered measurable growth, and you can show the numbers.
- You understand why people stop, click and sign up.
- You can take a video from idea and script to finished edit yourself.
- You write well in Norwegian, and ideally in English.
It's a plus if you've worked on an early-stage app or consumer product, or have experience with paid advertising.
Apply for the position: send a few lines, and ideally something you've made, tohello@nomadmapper.comA trip in NomadMapper goes through many steps: Noma suggests, everyone votes, someone pastes a link to a place to stay, the price is split between the people staying there, the flight is tracked and the photos end up in a shared album. You make sure the whole chain works, on mobile and desktop, before customers notice anything, and you become the link between our users and the people building the product.
What you'll work on
- Testing the whole journey before every release: creating a trip, inviting the group, voting on dates and destinations, chatting with Noma, choosing accommodation, booking with partners and viewing the album afterwards.
- Finding and reproducing bugs, and writing tickets developers can act on straight away, with steps and screenshots.
- Building and maintaining our test plans and checklists.
- Keeping an eye on errors and user sessions in PostHog and Sentry, and spotting patterns before they become problems.
- Talking to beta users, gathering feedback and turning it into clear improvements.
What we're looking for
- You're thorough and curious, and you find what doesn't work.
- You write clearly and precisely, even when things are messy.
- You have experience from testing, customer support or product work, ideally with an app or web service.
- You like talking to users and care about things being easy to use.
It's a plus if you've worked in Jira or similar tools, or are the one who always plans the trips.
Apply for the position: send a few lines, and ideally something you've made, tohello@nomadmapper.comNomadMapper makes money when we make travel easier: when people book flights, accommodation, experiences or eSIMs through the app, and when the trip becomes a printed photo book afterwards. Because Noma knows the trip, the right offer can appear exactly when it's needed. You'll grow our network of partners and make every deal better.
What you'll work on
- Finding, negotiating and following up partnerships with travel companies in flights, accommodation, experiences, insurance and airport services.
- Improving the deals we have and keeping track of how they perform.
- Developing new revenue streams, such as the subscription and products after the trip.
- Working with the product team so partners show up in the right place in the trip, without it feeling like advertising.
What we're looking for
- You have experience in partnerships, business development or sales, ideally in travel or technology.
- You understand commission and affiliate models.
- You enjoy building something from scratch.
We'll open this position as our partner work grows. If this is you, we'd love to hear from you now.
Register your interest: send a few lines, and ideally something you've made, tohello@nomadmapper.com
You work closely with all four founders, and what you do shows up in the product straight away. Short distances and quick decisions.
Noma is the heart of the app, and we use AI in our work too. You help decide how the tools shape people's trips.
We test NomadMapper on our own trips with friends and family. Here it's perfectly fine to call a weekend in Lisbon research.
Not quite you?
We read every open application. Tell us briefly who you are and what you'd like to work on, and feel free to send something you've made. We usually reply within two working days.
